I know this isn't code-related, but it is related to something that most computer geeks deal with on a regular basis: Copyright and Trademark Infringement.
Apparently, Ford Motor Company is trying to say that selling pictures of your car is some sort of trademark infringement.
A site that caters to fans of Ford Mustangs has been told that producing a calender of enthusiasts' cars (oh, and all the logos that include pictures of cars produced by Ford Motor Company on their site) is a violation of Ford's trademark.

Have you ever searched for a domain name, only to find that it was taken already? Now, Network Solutions has made it even easier to feel that disappointment.
According to the article, Network Solutions has decided that it would be a good idea for them to, um, help keep front-runners from snatching up sites by being even bigger front-runners.

In order to circumvent the harvesting of email addresses from a page, many web designers are putting form mailers into their pages. Sadly, most aren't taking security into account, and it is just adding to already monumental Spam problems.
The biggest problem is with Header Injection. There are a ton of good articles on the web about how to keep malicious users from injecting headers with a mailer script. Just run "php mail header injection" through a Google search, and you will find some. Read the rest of this entry »

If any of you have a Logitech wireless mouse, and you have the Logitech Setpoint software installed, you've surely noticed that the Low Battery Warning popup gets annoying, really quick.
It's not very accurate. When it starts reporting my batteries as being "CRITICAL", it means that I have about two weeks of using my mouse left before the mouse starts having communication issues. I'd rather not be forced to buy new batteries every three weeks just to shut up an annoying popup. Read the rest of this entry »
